Within 3 days of birth all our calves are given an ear-tag with bar code and identification and registration number. This serves to identify and register the calf. In this way we can trace each individual animal in all stages of the production chain.
This unique, yellow ear-tag contains a multitude of reliable and controllable information about the calf. Information such as:
- breed details;
- genealogy etc.
In the slaughterhouse the I&R number is the basis for a waterproof system of quality and process control.
